Many of you have been in touch, eager to find out when the Caves will be open. For now, we are going to have to beg your patience for a little longer as we do not have a fixed date. What we can do is tell you what’s happening on site and behind the scenes to try and get us up and running, and open as soon as possible.
The building is progressing well and the landscaping is beginning to take shape. Scaling and netting works have been completed in the Caves by Graham Daws and the great team from High Peak Geotechnical and a second exit is very near to completion.
Now we are nearing the end of the build there are lots of fine details to focus on. Work continues on the interpretation room, as well as specialist lighting for the Caves themselves. A lot of love, time and money has been invested in the Caves and we want to reassure you that we are focussed on doing this right – not hastily.
