MacEwen Award Commendation

We are very honoured that the Caves has been commended from 100s of other projects around the UK for the prestigious MacEwen Award.

The award was created to recognise architecture for the common good, and we were shortlisted and then commended due to the community effort behind reopening the Caves as well as our ongoing commitment as a centre for the community; "the project has...raised aspirations of what the built environment can be... This was done by grassroots action, with locals, volunteers and professionals putting in more effort than they had to."

We are proud of our building and what it can do and be for the community and we would not be where we are today without the support of the fantastic Kaner Olette Architects. We are so very grateful for their hard work that has led to our receiving this commendation.
