New appointments

We are happy to announce the appointments of Becky Wornast as our Learning and Outreach Manager and Linda Berritt as our Café Manager.

Becky joins us from Chatham Historic Dockyard and says: ‘I’m super excited to be a part of reviving a part of Margate’s heritage. I’ve always had a passion for history and education, and I enjoy encouraging people to try out something new. I can’t wait to explore the history and heritage of the Caves with the local community and hear about all the tales, lives and legends surrounding them.’

Also joining our team to head up the café, Linda says: ‘Although many local people will know me from my time in Westgate and Birchington post offices, my passion has always been running cafes and cooking good food. For three years my sister and I owned and ran Nonnas Kitchen in Broadstairs and for many years, until it closed, I managed the café at Ramsgate Greyhound Stadium. Locally born and bred, I remember the Caves as a child and it’s great to be able to contribute to their revival.’

We will shortly be advertising for our casual and part-time roles, as well as volunteering opportunities.
